Women's Clinics

College football teams have either held or are planning their annual women's clinics and college football's female fans are ready for it!  The clinics usually go by one of two styles- some are in the cushy cocktail party format with coaches instructing them while others get the girls down on the field running through real drills and plays with the coaches. Some have fashion shows of gameday wear for the ladies or the gameday gear for the players and coaches.  Some are geared toward a casual fan that wants to learn the basics, while others focus on well-seasoned female football fans who like to draw up their own plays.
Here is an overview of some clinics around the country.

The purpose of this clinic is to provide every woman the opportunity to listen and interact with the coaches on the Oregon football staff and to gain knowledge and insight into the game of college football... and to have fun while doing it.The content of the clinic has been geared towards providing basic and fundamental information with the opportunity to take your understanding to the next level. There will be a welcome reception during registration prior to the lectures and demonstrations with heavy hor d'oeuvres, soft drinks, water, thirst quenchers, as well as beer and wine for those participants over the age of 21.Although there will not be a lot of physical activity, a changing room is available for those women who are coming straight from work or an appointment.
The format of the clinic is designed to provide every woman the basic concepts and nuances of Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. The lecture format will allow the participants to ask questions throughout the clinic.

Kent State Golden Flashes

Kent State's football coaching staff hosted the second annual "A Ladies Must Get As" clinic on Wednesday, June 20 at Dix Stadium.

Activities began in the Golden Flashes' team room, where participants learned everything from how to put equipment on...to what players ate and the involvement of athletic trainers.  After entering the field through the smoke-filled tunnel, women went into groups participating in drills and practicing formations for offense, defense and special teams.
